Hi, I’m Jo – the creator of Woolly Well Wishers.
I learned to knit when I was young, and a couple of years ago picked up crochet. Wanting to share the cute things I make – here’s a chance for you to purchase a Woolly Well Wisher, handmade by me from my home in Chester. I currently work full time and fit in my crafting in any free time around family on evenings and weekends.
I use patterns that catch my eye on social media and the internet, and each listing will give details on the yarns and patterns used. I might give them a name, and I’ll tell you ‘their birthdate’ of creation – but you are more than welcome to rename your Woolly Well Wisher once you’ve adopted them!
Where does the name WOOLLY WELL WISHER come from? We all need someone or something that’s absolutely and resolutely on our side, and these little handmade friends can bring comfort and inspire you to believe in yourself a bit more. These Woolly Well Wisher friends are there to literally wish you well 😊
Most of the Woolly Well Wishers are frogs and teddies, with some seasonal extras along the way.
Why do you need one? Friends have used these to give them confidence in going for job interviews, as something to talk to and share adventures with on long journeys and holidays, to share their feelings with on their recovery from surgery or illness and as cute gifts. They can be to mark special occasions (graduation, wedding, bon voyage), to give to friends or partners or for seasonal occasions. They make great decorations too, and will sit happily on a shelf, or at the side of the bed, or can be attached to your rucksack or handbag.
Pricing: I appreciate you might raise an eyebrow at the prices. No, these aren’t “under a fiver”, but they are unique, original, and you are paying for the use of good quality yarns and the skill of the maker! If you didn’t want to pay for my crafting time – then the internet is there for you to learn and make your own😊
PAYMENT: I only accept payment via Paypal, you’ll need to email me (woollywellwishers@gmail.com) to give your address details, and I’ll send you the Paypal account details. When I get confirmation of the payment, I’ll get the Woolly Well Wisher packed up to send to you. I’ll keep you in the loop on timings, when I get to the post office etc.
Obviously returning customers can use friends and family for discount 😊
Bespoke and Personalised? You want a particular colour frog, or jumper, a teddy with different coloured ears or something else … Absolutely – I can customise for you – please reach out, make contact to discuss woollywellwishers@gmail.com, and we can work on a timescale.
Please note: All my crafting is done in my spare time – I work full time, and my usual practice will be to make a group of Woolly Well Wishers and then put them on this site for purchase – so keep an eye out!
